Les played for Scouts for a number of seasons before becoming Chairman from 1978-1987.

Les was instrumental in the formation of the Mini and Junior Section and his wife Lorna helped wherever she could and their son David played throughout the Minis and Juniors.

Lorna donated the trophy in Les’s memory to be awarded to the Volunteer of the Year.
