(T: Kieran, Rees, Caleb; Con: Alex M. (3))
Scouts completed a hat-trick of wins this season against Casuals when they comfortably beat their neighbours from “over the road”, scoring all their points in a dominant 1st half display. First on the scoresheet was Kieran when Scouts pressure finally wore down Casuals defence. Caleb scored next following a chip ahead by Rees and then Rees himself, brushing off some ineffective tackles to score scouts third try. With Alex competently converting them all, the result was in the bag by half time.
Maybe Scouts took their foot off the gas or maybe Casuals upped their game, but the second half saw Scouts defending for longer periods without ever looking in too much danger. Casuals did cross the line a couple of times, but were held up on both occasions, once notably by Peter who managed to get himself under the attacker in a one on one tackle to prevent any downward pressure.
A good, solid performance by Scouts, buy maybe lacking some of the killer instinct required to finished opponents off!
