Won 17-13 (T: Tom, Ollie(2); C: Caleb)

The U16s finally managed to find a window in the weather and extend their winning run to 5 matches when they came up against a BBOB side, seemingly with a point to prove.

This was a tough, bruising encounter against a BBOB side with a much bigger pack which resulted in 2 of the Scouts team requiring treatment in casualty (Good Luck for a speedy recovery, Alex & Sammy) and also saw 4 yellow cards being issued (2 to each team).

Scouts took the lead when Tom forced his way over following a short penalty. Caleb added the extras to see Scouts into a 7-0 early lead. BB responded with a penalty before Scouts increased their lead when Ollie skipped through 2 or 3 tackles to score in the corner. On the stroke of half-time, BB kicked their second penalty to make it 12-6.

Scouts started the second half strongly and were just held up over the line. This seemed to galvanise BBOB as they then had a period of dominance which saw them held up over the line twice themselves and also knock-on when a try seemed inevitable. Scouts were defending like demons, but eventually the sustained pressure told and BB scored a converted try to take a slender 13-12 lead into the last 10 minutes.

Scouts were reduced to 14 men with about 5 minutes to play, but they continued to put BB under pressure, forcing them to concede a series of penalties. They were finally rewarded when Ollie scored his second try of the game with the last play of the match to give Scouts a hard earned victory.
