A busy morning with our friends at BBOB. Both teams were invited to play at the Keith Picton Memorial Festival along with others from around the town.
Both the blues and reds played really well, the team support and play is improving every week. There are less solo runs down the pitch, and more supported plays that resulted in some great tries. Nathan and Ricky were full of praise for the blues, good team tries, lots of work in the rucks and the improvement in consistency is great to see.
The reds worked hard with a pleasing return from Oran and Toby made the squad up to 11. Overall lots of work in the rucks and tackles, things to work on in the back lines but nothing we can't build on in training. Great efforts from the boys, I was really pleased with the support running and every lad improving their own tackle count and overall game which is all we are after.
Both teams are starting to see the fruits of their labour in training, they are making decisions on the pitch and building their game. All this is great for the future of the squad.
Looking forward to Kettering at home next week.
