Our Under-14s delivered a confident and composed performance at the weekend, securing a well‑deserved 26–7 win vrs St Ives. The win was built on physicality, smart decision‑making, and outstanding work under the high ball.

From the first whistle, the boys set the tone with aggressive line speed and secure handling, refusing to let the opposition settle. Their dominance was rewarded early when Eddie powered over for the opening try, finishing a well‑constructed phase of play. He later added a second, showing great support lines and determination to finish one handed under pressure.

Jayden added another with a sharp burst of pace that split the defence, and Teddy capped off the scoring with a strong finish under the posts. Bryce successfully kicked three out of four conversions to add to the scoreboard. The final score reflected the control the team showed throughout.

A strong forward pack led by Alfie controlled the scrums and secured a majority of rucks allowing the backs to apply the pressure.

Another standout features of the performance was the confidence under the high ball. Time and again, Lewis claimed kicks cleanly, turning pressure into opportunity and denying the opposition any momentum. That composure gave the side a solid platform to attack from and kept the defensive structure intact.

The opposition battled hard and managed a single converted try, but our boys’ organisation, tackling accuracy, and discipline ensured the game stayed firmly in our control.
