The Old Scouts 1st team trekked over to Daventry to what was hoping to be a formality and chalk off another win. Whilst the result went their way, the scouts were faced with a different type of Daventry and one that proved trickier to beat.
At times, it wasn't rugby, as the home side were just intent on stopping Scouts from playing rugby with exuberate rucking technique as an example. Tests in rugby come in all types and once Scouts knew the game plan, they adapted and took their scores.
It turned in to a very level headed and resilient win for the title chasers and only proved the difference between the two teams.
Now for a weeks rest as they prepare for tricky Peterborough at home on the 21st
