Market Harborough came out on top in the last league game of the season. Whilst the host deserved the win, you couldn't help but understand how difficult the game was to get motived for. A win wouldn't change league position for either team and Scouts had just come off a huge win in the Cup.
The energy and effort was there for Scouts, but tackles didn't quite stick and passes were just short of 'on the money'. It meant that Harborough never let Scouts get momentum and at this level that is vital.
With the game done its too easy to find the positive, and Scouts will enjoy what is their highest ever league position. 22 games played, 17 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses are the final stats, and some fine rugby has been played.
One more game this season which is the Alliance cup final on the 21st May at Franklin Gardens.
