The Scouts 1st team put in a classy display of rugby to emphatically beat Kettering at their home ground.
There were so many positives to take from the day aside from the score, and its great to have that intent even though the league title may be gone.
In dry and sunny conditions, the Scouts showed their speed and structure that has been the base of success against teams all season.
On paper many teams like Kettering would think they would fair well. Experienced, strong and keen to take on the Scouts, but the lads always seemed one step ahead of them on the day.
Jervis' four tries exemplify the expansive rugby that was played and he simply couldn't avoid a jug at the bar this week. We might have to name one after him!
Once again, Scouts played some of their emerging players and this week it was the turn of Academy hooker Tom Gartside. After training well with the seniors he grasped the opportunity and put in a solid 30 minutes. Definitely one to watch in the coming season.
The Rovers (2nd team) also put 60 points on Kettering and made the day very pleasing for the coaching group.
Man of the Match = Noah Jervis
