It was a case of Deja vu on Saturday where Scouts travelled to Leicester Forest intent on keeping their winning streak. Last season the team slipped to a heavily fought defeat at the hands of forest at the same time of the year, and this year they were denied the win again.
Unfortunately, the game turned was a very tight battle with neither side taking a commanding position and apart from a brief 5 minute spell from Scouts in the 1st half, the game was full of broken play and stoppages.
Scouts managed to create two opportunities to win the game at the end but the penalty kicks were too tough for the kickers and the final score matched the disappointing performance.
This week the lads are in cup action against rivals Old Northamptonians. Kick off is 2pm at ON's. Come and support the team.
