The Rushmere road crowd were treated to game of end to end rugby and one that in many ways The Scouts would wish to forget.
Peterborough are a mid table side currently but Scouts were very wary of their opponents and prepared well for a tough game. And that's what they got.
The sides looked evenly matched in the first quarter and the forward packs were not getting much change from their efforts. It was tough going until Peterborough took two chances and The Scouts found themselves close to half time and 14-3 down.
Changes were made at half time and Scouts got to work to put things right.
On two occasions Scouts would build a score only for Peterborough to come back in to it with a try themselves. The second half seemed to take a very long time, and ultimately the home side had done enough to keep the spoils. The inaccuracies and resilient opponents would remind Scouts that this is a tough league and they need to be in better form for Kettering away coming up soon. However, once again they managed a win and should be proud of the spirit that got the result.
