The Old Scouts marched on with 4 league wins from 4 by steam rolling Oadby Wiggs at their ground.
Away at a Leicester side is never easy and Oadby have always been tricky for the Scouts in recent years, but not on this occasion.
The only strength of the home side was a very strong scrum, but that cant win you games and whilst The Scouts were under pressure in the scrums, they demolished them in every other area.
It took just 5 minutes for the first try from Scouts debutant Tyler Mills who tapped on to the end of some tidy backs passing. Further tries from Jervis, Lake and Sharpe and two conversions from Brennan gave a half time score of 24-3.
Scouts were not expecting a fightback from Oadby and it did not come. With their eye on the leagues top spot, Scouts scored 38 unanswered points with every score coming from the backs. There was some beauty's including 2 more from Cameron Sharpe giving him his hat trick. Sharpe was playing in the centres for a change and with Tom Holliday zipping the ball in to space, the Oadby backs simply could not contain the powerful Sharpe.
It was also nice to see Brett Daynes make his first team debut after signing for the club. Daynes' playing ability is a valuable addition to the squad, but his experience of higher league rugby and coaching skills will be of great help to the emerging players from the 2's and Academy.
There are 2 other teams with 4 wins from 4, but that will change soon when they play The Scouts!
Man of the Match = Tom Holliday. An excellent day driving the team from 10.
Next Match = Friday 29th at home v Olney. 7.30pm kick off
