You may already be aware that over the many years since it was founded in 1926, the club has made many appointments to the honorary position of Vice President.
There have in fact been over 110 such appointments, many of whom are well known by currently serving members. Sadly, as of the date of writing this, over 50 have left us.
In years past there was a period of non-appointments, but it was recently decided to be more active in considering this honour, and we have consequently made nearly twenty new appointments in the last two years in an attempt to bring things up to date.
If you have an interest in the club and would like to make a nomination of someone you feel worthy, please email it to the Vice Presidents Committee at vps@northamptonoldscoutsrfc.com
Vice President definition - Any person, member or not, who has given service or provided services to the club, above and beyond the norm.
Process for nomination and appointment –
• Nominations may be made by any person to the Vice Presidents Committee (VPC) with a short, written rationale for nomination.
• Nominations should be submitted by 31st December each year.
• The VPC will make a recommendation to the Club Board with its view. This may include agreement or not or a delay of the appointment.
• The Club Board will have the final decision.
• If approved, the President will make the award at the final VP lunch of the season and/or the Annual Dinner.
