NOSRFC move to Recycling

After an intensive supplier selection process, and soft launch of recycling within the club, NOSRFC have finally moved to FULL recycling for our refuse removal from site.
This move ensures the club will be compliant with future legislation we know is incoming, improves our sustainability, and more importantly adds flexibility to our waste collection; waste collection that has increased significantly as the usage of the facilities increases, adding additional running costs to the club’s management.
The soft launch we’re glad to say helped with the final decision, but there is still some rubbish finding its way into the wrong bins. Please could we ask all members, players, coaches, parents and visitors to just take a few extra seconds to ensure your rubbish is going in the right bin. The bins dotted around the club are emptied by volunteers and when rubbish is incorrectly deposited it can get very messy for those who manage this on every club members behalf. Also please encourage anyone you see not following the guidance, which is clearly indicated on the bins, and invite them to help make our volunteers’ lives that little bit easier.
As a reminder;
General Waste: Dirty Cardboard (i.e. with food contamination) and anything that doesn’t fit into the categories below.
Dry Mixed Recycling: Clean Cardboard packaging, Paper, Cans, Empty plastic glasses.
Glass: Empty bottles.
Please empty all liquids from cups, bottles, plastic glasses. The volunteers still get covered in stale beer and coffee on a regular basis, which is disgusting and unnecessary.
If there are any questions about the new initiative, then please feel free to contact the club secretary on secretary@nosrfc.ltd. Also, if there are any suggestions on how we can improve our waste collection, drop us a line as well.
NOSRFC Board.
