The head trauma he sustained meant that he had to spend time in intensive care at the John Radcliffe in Oxford. He received fantastic care and made great progress, and was allowed onto a ward a few days later.
After a week he was allowed back to Northampton General and shortly afterwards, allowed home, where he is continuing to make a great recovery.
Through all this, through all our pain and worry, Old Scouts' friends have supported us immensely, by text, email, Facebook & phone calls. We just cannot begin to say how overwhelmed we are and "Thank you" does not even come close. You know who your friends are in times of strife and boy, have we got friends! Your thoughts & messages have kept us going and believe us we have relayed them all to Jack, whether he was concious or not!
And as if we couldn't receive anymore kindness, loads of you contributed to a collection for him (we understand that numerous other clubs were cajoled into giving too!). The money you collected has paid for an iPad for Jack, which he is completely and totally made up with and since he is not at school at the moment, he seems to spend most of his time on it!
He will make a full recovery and hopefully next season he will be back playing for the best club anyone could be part of.
THANK YOU to you all, for making it that way!
