Bob was involved with the club when it moved to Rushmere Road in the 60's and with his business partner Bob Carvell built the original clubhouse.

Bob played for the club for a number of seasons and was an extremely enthusiastic 2nd XV Captain in the late 60s and early 70's.

He was made a Vice President of the club as a reward for his services and although he was only seen on a few occasions in recent times he was always interested in how the club was progressing. His last visit to the club was for a VPs lunch when he kindly donated towards the cost of a new floor cleaning machine for the changing rooms.
