Second Half Collapse

Lost 66-12 (Tries: Caleb, Ollie S., Con: Alex M.

At half-time Scouts were well into this game having played probably their best half of rugby this season. They were “in Bugbrooke’s faces” right from the start, forcing the league leaders into a series of errors. From one of these, Caleb intercepted a loose pass to score under the posts and with Alex safely converting Scouts were 7-0 up.

Bugbrooke hit straight back with an unconverted try and Scouts were unlucky to concede again late in a first half that seemed unreasonably long. However, having played into a stiff wind in the first half, a close encounter seemed on the cards.

2 tries conceded early in the second half seemed to knock the stuffing out of Scouts and despite a well worked try in the corner for Ollie, the second half was pretty much one way traffic.

The team now need to regroup and look at how they upset the best team in the league during that first half display and take that into their next league game against Casuals in a couple of weeks time.
