Tries: Adam(2), Keiron. Con: Caleb (2)
Had this match been 10 or even 5 minutes longer, Scouts would surely have won it.
Having been pummelled by OG’s enormous, juggernaut pack in the first- half, they somewhat predictably tired towards the end with Scouts looking fitter and increasingly dangerous.
OG’s bludgeoned their way to a 19-0 half-time lead with “Big Kenny” and his even bigger mate to the fore. Scouts had their moments and almost scored themselves on half-time, but lost possession when a try seemed inevitable.
They did, however score first in the second-half when Adam continued his recent try scoring spree following a good drive in the scrum by Scouts against their wilting opponents. OG’s scored again and converted to increase their lead. From then on though, it was all Scouts with OG’s now struggling to contain them.
Keiron scored next with Caleb converting. The best moment of the whole game came with the last play of the match. Alex received the ball in midfield following another good phase from the forwards. He then put a perfectly weighted cross field kick into the waiting arms of Adam who rounded the last defender to touch down under the posts. Caleb duly converted to finish the match on a high!
