Hit by injuries and absences due to school and representative commitments Scouts could only muster 13 players on the Saturday before the game. However with our thanks to Reinis travelling straight from the airport to play and Dexter and Haydon playing despite carrying injuries Scouts arrived at Wellingborough with a playing Squad of 16 . Despite many lads being asked to play out of position the lads showed their aggression and determination from the start. Their support and encouragement for each other was second to none .This was scouts at their gritty best against a strong and full strength Wellingborough Squad. 19-5 up at half time the Scouts continued their pressure game in the second half running out victors at 36-5 . Six different try scorers and some good conversions from Mr. Hanley emphasised the fact that this was a team performance. We now move on to the quarter finals against Towcester and on this showing the Scouts look in good shape.
