The under 10s gather for a valued training session.

The previous week saw Towcester visit Rushmere Road, as always a tough opponent that we relish taking on. With three teams against their two the Scouts worked hard. Some great efforts and examples of determination. At the end of the day it was fairly balanced, our strong battling through the pack against their better line speed. One player who was nominated as Player of the Week, showed real improvement in his game, both in the tackle and ruck. Well done Bailey Fenn.

At training this week, we worked hard on building the team work both in the ruck and in the back line. With players with skills and build for one or the other its good to see everyone working hard in training. Sometimes getting knocked, but always getting back up and getting back into the game with your team mates. An example of this came from Toby Heath. No-one enjoys getting knocked or bashed, but when the game is stopped and the coach asks "do you want to play on or come off" its easy to taking the touchline option. This week Toby showed determination and put it into his game, great to see. This weeks player of the week.

A lot goes into running an age group at the Scouts. As a big club we are very lucky to have so many kids that want to come and play for the club, and even more lucky that their parents agree to stand in the cold and bring them. The coaches on the pitch have it easy, we just have to organise 30+ under 10s. All the activity in the background is what makes the teamwork, that's the hard work! This year again we have built on the squads approach to #oneinallin. The extra drive coming from our special Player of the Week :-). We know its a team game off the pitch, just as much as it is on the pitch. The work put in by Clare Heath is unreal. We all have busy lives and come together for a good fun 2 hour session on a Sunday, but to top it off with team fun days, tour, Christmas gifts takes extra effort. Even more to raise over £25000 for Mini Mobros. Thank you very much Clare for all you do from the Coaches.
