Owing to unavailability and a couple of injuries, Scouts Under 10s travelled to Ampthill with only 11 players this week to face Ampthill's squad of 30+.
With key players missing, this gave the opportunity to the up-and-coming players to demonstrate how they line up alongside the experienced lads and they certainly proved their position in the squad today.
With strength in numbers, Ampthill could not break the impenetrable Scouts defence to even earn themselves a solitary try across the three games despite their valiant efforts in attack and defence.
The Scouts players certainly showed today how tackles win games, earning themselves good turnover ball from relentless tackling and pressure on the Ampthill attacking line.
With ball in hand, the Scouts demonstrated how their improving awareness of field space and by using the supporting players around them results in a very healthy score line to their favour.
Well done to all the lads today - a great morning's work!
