On Saturday the U-10s took part in an exhibition match vs ONs as a curtain raiser before the 1st XV match against Peterborough. Unfortunately, the weather was atrocious with heavy rain throughout.
Despite this the game itself was an intense and close affair with the only score of the match coming midway through the first half for ONs.
Scouts came very close to equalising in the second half with a superb driving maul set up by the forwards who then drove almost half the length of the pitch only to be forced into touch close to the try line.
The match was a great advertisement for mini rugby in general and the standard of play showed the U-10s in a great light with some of the tackling being particularly ferocious. Unfortunately due to the adverse weather not many outside parties were present to witness a great game.
Congratulations to Lawrenze for being awarded the Scouts Man of The Match.
