Scouts entertained a large group of past players with some free flowing rugby and ran out comfortable winners.

Following the awful weather during the week it was nice to kick off in bright sunshine and Scouts were soon on the front foot.
After testing their opponents defensive abilities a lineout catch and drive was finished by Iain Simmons with Dean Lake adding the conversion. The kick off was then well taken by Andy Morris and the ball was swung wide and following a neat chip behind the defence Lake was on hand to dot down. He failed to convert his own try but banged over a penalty soon after.
The home side were creating space at every opportunity and it was no surprise when another line break saw Will Brennan cruise over the line and within minutes centre Liam Hancock bashed his way through to give Scouts a try bonus point before half time. Lake converted the latter.
The second half was fairly similar to the first with Scouts enjoying throwing the ball around. Lewis Underwood was stopped in the corner almost straight from the restart but another handling movement resulted in Jordan Blakie scoring his first try for the club.
St Ives were struggling to get out of their own half and when another lineout ball was won by Scouts the resulting move saw Dan Warren force his way over. Replacement scrum half Ali Morin was next over the whitewash, jinking through the visitors defence with ease.
The Scouts backs were creating havoc at this point and St Ives were having trouble containing them, although some moves got slightly complicated which resulted in spilt ball.
Further interplay between the backs then allowed Hancock to put his centre partner Josh OBrien in to become Scouts eighth try scorer of the afternoon. Lake converted three out of the four second half tries before being robbed of a try in the corner when it was deemed he had put a foot in touch.
This week Scouts face a trip to Stewarts & Lloyds on Friday evening KO 19:30.
